screen off button

There's a button in the settings "Screen off" By touching the screen again, all comes back.

Does anyone know where I can find that exact path/action this button gives?

This is the exact button I want too because sometimes you just dont want anything from the screen but the music still plays. its in System Settings, but i dont know where is the code to it.

Used a script of a mod somewhere on this board and made a custom "Night Panel" button, to blend in nicely with the rest of the buttons.

I'll post it tonight when I'm home.

 

The info that remains is the route info box, and the AV source information. (which is OK to me)

icon "Night Panel"

Since I have a similar button on my car's dashboard which dims all gauges and buttons except for the speedo, I gave it the same name.

the icon is added in the attachment.

 

The script I got from one of the combined mod topics.

 

in /800_480/ui/scripts800_480.ui

add the following script:

 

in /800_480/ui/navigatemap_800_480.ui

in the first layer, add

; blank screen

 

My icon is where the 2D 3D button used to be, so change x and y to satisfaction.

 

the 'button' that retrieves th screen, overlays the whole screen, and is named 746_32K_MN-000_24b.bmp, and also attached.

 

upload the overay image and icon in the /800_480/ui/ directory.

Is there any way to have this screen off button on the "top menu"? like between the phone and settings buttons on the bottom? I have been wanting this option for sometime.

I wanna bring this back up because i want this feature too, been having trouble trying to make the screen go completely black. Like the music bar on the bottom and the info on the side.

 

*edit* i given up on this... and besides, it doesnt turn off the screen. its a black picture that pops up but the blacklighting is still there.

 

kind of defeats the purpose.
