oddjobbb Posted March 5, 2009 Report Share Posted March 5, 2009 I did the hardware bypass yesterday on my 350Z. DVD plays fine when in motion as does the the nav system. however i noticed that my brake line stays on and my check engine light came on. So i undid the parking brake ground and the idiot lights went out but now the nav and DVD wont work when the parking brake is released. Any ideas on where i went wrong?? superman8262 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 I think you connected and grounded YOUR car's parking break up instead of the unit. try connecting the unit's ground instead and the moved mute wire. leave the wires in your car alone, but first you gotta reconnect them.
