paQ
Try switching antennas They sometimes just break down and have have signalloss as result. sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I've had this before. There is no need of buying 200 USD antennas, the 30 USD will work just as well.

paQ
fleabay must be able to have good ones. I bought mine in a local phone shop. He'd purchased a batch, EUR 25 per piece. It turned out to be the EXACT same as Volvo wanted to charge 163 EUR for. The very same antenna at Ford (same thing) was 140 EUR. I would recommend you just phone 2 or 3 phone / car stereo shops in the near surroundings. I'm not saying this solves your probem, but if you could try for a couple of dollars, it's worth the try. I'm not sure, but I think these antennas are fed with a phantom power. Maybe it's that bit that wrecks the whole thing
