roustam Posted March 7, 2009 Report Share Posted March 7, 2009 I've got subaru wrx 04 with avic d1 installed and my radio reception is below expected. My stock head unit had a way better quality for radio. My car has glass antenna on the rear window and my gps antenna is located on the back shelf (behind rear window). Is this the reason? I also have some funny wiring done. I bought the avic d1 used. It already had "power antenna" blue wire pulled out and used for bypass. The "mute" yellow/black wire is not in the harness at all. I assume missing since i have 2 empty holes in the harness instead of one. I did power the antenna using the "accessory on" red wire. Is that a good idea? but the reseption is still not that good.
