orbitcorbett Posted May 2, 2009 Report Share Posted May 2, 2009 I've got an 02 Highlander Limited, with JBL. I've installed an AVH-P4100DVD unit, which is very sweet. However, my Metra wiring harness connector does not have an orange wire to connect the orange striped wire from the Pioneer to, so the display dims at night properly. The car has the automatic lights with daytime running lights, and I've got no idea where to tap the orange striped wire into, so it dims when the headlamps are triggered by the dash sensor. I leave the headlamp switch in the Auto position all the time. I accessed Alldata and got the wiring harness diagrams, and I know where the sensor plugs into the Body ECU, but I'm lost on which wire to tap into. Has anyone successfully done this on a Highlander?
