brasskey
Please guys, dont all help at once.... People don't just sit around all day and watch for questions. Be patient. Im getting this unit installed tomorrow at a very reputable and trusted audio store. I want to make sure that I get all the stock functionality out of my steering controls and XM so is there any advice for me when I go in tomorrow? If you're getting the unit installed at a "very reputable" audio store, then there's no doubt that they have installed new head units into similar model GM trucks (Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Silverado, etc). Also, the definition of reputable is honorable and respectable so if the store fits this description you said, then you shouldn't get "swindled". You shouldn't be waiting for an answer here if it's taking too long for your timeline. Just ask the "reputable" store installing it.
