Christopher54
Similar problem here... Parked one evening, came back about 2 hours later and system booted but screen is a solid, off-white color. System still functions: Touchscreen works (luckily I know the unit well enough to navigate through some menus blindly) plays CDs, iPod playback, and FM radio but display never comes up. Reset the unit with no luck... I'm afraid it's a defective LCD. What is more irritating is that a co-worker of mine noted that I had an AVIC system during a lunch trip and CALLED THE FAILURE ROUGHLY A MONTH BEFOREHAND. He stated that he had an AVIC-Z series and that the "white LCD" defect was a known issue acknowledged by Pioneer Tech support; however, I was unable to verify this. I called and placed an RMA ticket request but without my original sales invoice and no registration... I'm out of luck with warranty repair.
