macer20
I have been trying to search on the forum for any information on this problem with no luck, so I apologize in advance if this has been covered before I will start off with a little background, I just bought my second F900BT (I had one in a 2003 Lincoln Aviator) I know I'm a glutton for punishment. I had issues with the first one but nothing major. I sold my old car and got a 300C wanted to put a navi unit in it, I was able to a great deal on the F900BT again (what a surprise) So I went with it. I had the unit installed by the store I bought it from. I got the installer to bypass the unit, It took me a few hours until I wanted to use navigation and found there was no master voice, music would cut out like it was going to tell me to turn left or right but nothing would happen. I found this was not limited to the navigation, but bluetooth and VR as well. I have checked all the settings nothing is wrong there. About a week went by I was going to "live" with the master voice problem until the one part for steering wheel control came in. Then I got the system crash after the system splash screen. I took it back to the installers they got me in and fixed the crash problem (didn't find out how) they still couldn't fix the master voice problem. Now when the vehicle is in motion audio will cut out. Its driving me crazy, and to hear they are thinking of charging for V3.0. Anyone out there have any idea what the heck is going on with this thing? You help is appreciated.
fivehundred
Did you do any software hacks to the unit ? Also if you did , did you make a back up ?
macer20
Haha I wish I could say I did, the only thing that I did out of the norm is the bypass.

KidFresh1
I just purchased the F900 with the 2.0 update. I am kinda scared that something might go wrong if I do the bypass. Not sure what to do. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado.
dianebrat
I just purchased the F900 with the 2.0 update.I am kinda scared that something might go wrong if I do the bypass. Not sure what to do. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado. Just do the hardware bypass, it works fine for almost everyone, no fuss, no muss. No need to be frightened.
macer20
I'm on the phone with pioneer right now, I'm glad there is a place like this talking to those guys is like running head first into a brick wall. As fas as the master voice problem they told me I would have to send the unit to their head office at my expense. I just took my car back to the store that installed it for them to deal with the intermittent audio problem he disconnected the speed sensor but that didn't do anything. What a pain in the ass this is turning into. I found out how they fixed the boot problem, the replaced the unit. So two units both with a Master voice problem.
collyn
The unit(s) are fine. It is installation error. The Chrysler cars do not accept front and rear inputs through the CAN harness. Only rear! The Nav voice is output through the front channels of the HU and the front channels are essentially connected to nothing in the CAN harness. Your installer needs to connect the HU front outputs to the Chryslers REAR inputs on the harness.
