Major noise after bypass

Hi everyone, newbie here. Been lurking for a long time but first post. I finally got around to doing the bypass yesterday and now I'm getting horrible noise from the system. I can still hear music playing but have major noise overlapping. I reversed all the wiring to put it back to stock and the noise is still there. Here are some of the things I've tried to fix it and some steps when doing the bypass:

 

1. I had the HU completely unplugged before starting the bypass

2. I also unplugged it during the reversal.

3. I replaced the mute wire back to stock location.

4. Reattached the parking brake wire back to stock.

5. I made a mistake when first trying the bypass and did not ground the parking brake wire. Could that have messed up the sound?

6. I am not running any speakers from the HU, only through external amps.
