elid1
Hi Avic411 users, I just recently installed the F90BT on my F150 truck and All components tested well, EXCEPT for the Ipod (but in very peculiar way though) - 1. Connection on Rear of my F90BT unit is checked fine {all Audio's input & video) plugged in to the supplied Ipod cable from Pioneer. of course, I also connected my (5th Gen) 80GB Ipod/video and turned it ON. 2. gone to Settings-> Av settings-> and I could see the AV1 on bottom highlighted. Toggled to 'Ipod'. then, 3. On Menu -> Av Source page ->??? did NOT see anything but FM &AM Icons... all the rest were shadowed!! 4. went back to Settings (step 2) and toggled to VIdeo this time. and repeated step #3. Now, I got something.. 5. this time I did not see any Ipod menu what-so-ever, but I could play the music and watch Movies from Ipod. however, all controlled via ipod and not the AVIC unit. i got frustrated, talked to another friend installed same unit an indeed said I should see the contorls, etc.. actually, very similar way when I plug SD card with MP3 songs, I see the songs and no problem... Here's my question, assuming all connected properly in back (cuz I also took care of the bypass 'flip' of Mute wire, etc.), Do you think the Ipod (AV cable) is Bad? after all I could play the Music and watch Mp4 movies just right.... Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks in advance. Posts: 1 Joined: Mon Jul 13, 2009 4:18 pm Private message

elid1
Just had the same problem, try a system reset. I tried the Reset button, it reset all but did not fix the problem. I am still unable to see the Ipod under AV1 source. I also replaced the Composite cable to a new one to see if I can eliminate h/w problem and it did not change a thing. Any thoughts? thanks. elid1
Problem Solved! I did not know the Usb ports (on 2 supplied cables) needed to be engaged together. No wonder you cant play a thumb drive and Ipod at the same time. Besides, always read the manual - it helps.
