Brake bypass

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have read ,to be sure to do a brake bypass when installing the Z1, does that mean you can use, or change the Nav. system when moving? From what I understand you have to have the parking brake on to punch in aaddress. We will be installing in our RV & that would be helpful, thanks.

Hi rivercabins,

Welcome to AVIC411!

One of our finest memebrs here, ducatiboy, actually bought several Z1's to experiment with, and came up with the bypasses for this unit.

First thing you need to do is look at the sticker on the box, or on the unit itself to determine to month/year it was built. Then head over to ducatiboy's site and read the appropriate hack for your manufacture date:

Depending on if it June 06 or prior, or if it is July 06 and later built.

Good luck!
