phantom_2097 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Share Posted August 3, 2009 Hi, I have just bought a Japanese AVIC ZH77MD from Ebay which contained a load of music on the internal HDD. All instructions on the unit are in Japanese (which i dont speak!) 1. I know its a long shot but i have managed to remove, unlock and blank the HDD hoping to get a clean slate and remove all the japanese tunes that were on there...so, can anyone help me with how to get the 2.5" hard drive to be readable again? I currently get a japanese error message! 2. I would like to install the european maps to the GPS but again, i'm not sure how to do this? Basically, i know the unit is a few years old and clearly it was cheap because it was Japanese and i'm in england, i dont expect miracles from it but it would have been good to be able to use the HDD thats in it...
