JWM1986
Hi all.. I am new to this site and honestly have not spent the time to dig around too much so dont be mad if this has been answered somewhere.. My question is > I have a friend who is selling his N1, it has been solder bypassed ( i think )... If it has had the solder bypass done am I right that this disables any lockouts? Basically I am planning on updating it to the CNDV-60MP software i "aquired" and want to make sure that because of this mod being done I will NOT have any lockouts or any other problems... Any input will be appreaciated, Thanks in advance, Jason
Termist
No point in soildering the circuit board, if you don't have the N2 or N3 software. Because alls you have to do is just ground the parking-brake wire. But, since it's already soldered, you can upgrade to the N3 sofware without running into any lockouts. JWM1986
ok so with the solder bypass you can use normal (unmodified) N2 or N3 software and still have full NAVI access and video while driving... Thanks again
Termist
Ok, your wording doesn't make sense. N1 with soldered points, will allow you to have all access to N2 and N3 software while driving. But since it's still an N1 with N1 software, the chances of it being bypassed at the circuit board is very slim. To bypass an N1 with N1 software, you just ground the brake. BUT this does not apply to N1 with N2 or N3 software.
