1loudls
it depends on the car, if it uses the cage kit, all you need is a small philips screwdriver, if is in a dash kit or ISO mounted then you will have to take stuff apart to remove it, i reccomend going to metraonline.com then click on PRODUCTS at the top of the page, then go down to SELECT VEHICLE, input the vehicle you have click on KITS, then look at the install instructions, they will tell you how to disasimble your car and remove the radio

dianebrat
the problem is the navi was in the car WHEN I BOUGHT IT!! There should be service manuals available for your vehicle, and documentation available from local manufacturers of the installation kits. In the US, Crutchfield.com has a lot of info, as does the installation kit METRA.. However that being said, it's a bit of a learning curve if you have never done this before, and I'm not sure I'd recommend starting on the AVIC to learn how.

civicdrivr
Park your car in a bad neighborhood with the doors unlocked. Someone will do it for you. (I kid)
