tozfeekum
Hey everyone, I just sold my dnx9140, i couldn't stand the interface. Anyway i was wondering if the install of the z110bt is going to be any different? I'm not sure i remember connecting a "VSS" wire to the dnx9140 and it worked great. Do the nav's need the vss wire to work? Thanks!
VBLUE42
Yes VSS is needed with the Z and there is no VSS for Kenwood navs. It is not really that big of a deal. Google should be able to help you locate your VSS wire for your vehicle.
tozfeekum
It's apparently not easy, do you have any idea what would happen if i didn't connect it?
CamelTowing
It will work fine without it a majority of the time. If you enter a tunnel or downtown area with buildings that block the antennas line of sight to the satellites, it will throw your location off. I've never bothered on my cars unless the VSS is at the radio
VBLUE42
I would be concerned if you live or travel in a deep forested area or a city with a lot of tall buildings. Other then that, you can get away without it. Although my opinion is if its there its necessary and should be connected.
