bheng
my pin broke so should i order myself a new harness adapter? if i do, and i mess up again, can i use any other pin since i will have an existing harness? are there any other options for the bypass? Thanks Brian
Pogigreg
Find a place like ITT Technical Institute, or any kind of place that does soldering on electrical components can put another pin in there for you.
VBLUE42
You can use another unused wire.

Pogigreg
I would approach any student, drop him or her a 5 spot. It's very simple work for them.
jernelson
A wire off an idatalink bypass module used for remote starters plugs right into the Pioneer harness. You can remove the wire by simply lifting a little tab on the outside of the plug and pull the wire right out. I use these modules daily and throw about 20 of these wires away everyday. Any car stereo shop that does car starters may use this brand also and should be able to hook you up with a wire.
24VWVR6sc
I used the pin/wire connector from an old computer fan wiring harness. the pin fits perfectly into the pioneer wiring harness with out cutting the original wire. Test with a volt meter for a solid connection...done
stoveken
in an emergency you can tin a tiny gauge wire with solder, slide it thru the wire side of plug fold over and plug in harness.have done it several times when the mute wire is needed. tried the bypass wire but it would not stay locked in. jim
