AVIC-D3 + iPod cable + iPhone blutetooth = audio problems

Recommended Posts

I'd like to be able to use the iPod control interface on the D3, steering wheel controls etc, but when the bluetooth hooks up the iPhone stops playing through the iPod cable and wants to use BT-Audio. If I disable BT entirely, I can't use the hands free phone. Is there any way to restrict BT-Audio only while keeping BT Phone active on either iPhone or AVIC-D3?

Thx

Well, the is playing the content, just through the head unit. Nevertheless, the phone is auto switching to BT audio streaming once it detects the A2DP function on the D3. This is a common problem with all A2DP capable head units when using it with the iPhone. The only solution is to either use a hack on your iPhone to disable the A2DP function, or to select the DOCK CONNECTOR as the audio output from the phone when it auto switches.
