Blade Posted January 19, 2010 Report Share Posted January 19, 2010 When I did the bypass mod, I kept the MUTE wire in place and just added an extra for the bypass. I then connected the MUTE to the wires provided in my harness adaptor for my Chevy Express Conversion Van... I also have the SWI-ps and I am getting an irreversible MUTE signal whenever the radio gets hot on long drives. I am wondering if this has to do with the harness interface, (GMOS) or the SWIPS, or the something else to do with the HU itself. Anyone know if the MUTE wire needs to be connected to use the SWIPS Mute function? If not, then I will start my problemsolving by disconnecting that MUTE wire.... Thanks for any replies/thoughts....
