AVIC Software Speed Bypass

Get the DATA.ZIP file from your Nav system and save it to a SD card.

Path to file: Select Start > All Programs > Windows Explorer. Then select My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\DATA.ZIP

(Keep a backup of the DATA.ZIP file)

Open the DATA.ZIP file using WinRar or WinZip on your computer. (DO NOT DECOMPRESS THE FILE!)

Within the DATA.ZIP folder structure, go to project_config\pioneer.ini. Open the pioneer.ini file and change the following line:

From: parking_break_speed=16.0

To: parking_break_speed=256.0

Save the pioneer.ini back to the zip file. Again, do not decompress the zip file to do this.

Go to the Nav system and paste the new DATA.ZIP over the existing DATA.ZIP on your system. You will be overwriting the existing DATA.ZIP file.

Remove the SD card from the system and restart.

MOD EDIT: The Parking Brake wire must also be grounded.

this is going to sound retarded but I'm pretty much giving up... where do you get the zip file??

Anybody?

from your unit, search for testmode 2.3 in the f-series thread and follow instructions on how to use it, or you could just use modded files from the f-sereies hack threads, they already have it in the modded files,

Find and DL "testmode". Put it at the root of your SD card. Put the card in the AVIC. Turn on the key, when it begins to startup, rather than seeing the main screen you will boot into a windows pc looking screen. Select Start > All Programs > Windows Explorer. Then within "My Flash Disk" go to --> APL2-->iGo and copy --> DATA.ZIP and save it to your SD card. Then take it to your computer to open it with Winrar or similar. Find the project_config folder and in that is the pioneer.ini file. Open it with a text editor like NotePad. Change the speed from 16 to a much higher #. Save it right where it is and close the Winrar archive (named Data.zip) still containing the file in its origianl place. Go back, put the SD card back in, boot up again and do what you did when you found the file, only now paste it back to the iGo folder overwriting the other one. Done.
