korn00
Hey guys - Hope you can provide some insight on this issue. I have a 2009 Hummer H3T and I just love this Nav unit. Ever since I had this unit installed it does not always power on when the truck is started. Most of the time the unit does power on but maybe 3 out of 10 times the truck will be started and the unit is not on. I have taken it back to the installers and they have said that they have seen this before in other GM vehicles and has something to do with the internal amp? They suggested that I purchase a new separate amp, nothing spectacular, and the problem would go away. Does this sound right? Has anyone else heard of this issue before? Everything else works great on the unit so I do not think it is a bad install or something wrong with the unit itself. Thanks for any help P.S. Is there a way to manually power on the unit if it does not power on when the truck is started?
VBLUE42
I have been seeing this issue as well but not as frequently. Mine does it maybe once or twice a month.

korn00
So by reading what stoveken has posted it seems that this is just the way the unit is. It doesn't matter if you are using the internal amp and factory speakers or a after market amp/speakers...the problem still happens. Kinda disappointing! Has anyone logged complaints to pioneer on this issue? Maybe if they receive enough complaints it might be addressed in a firmware update. Just a thought... Thanks guys for the replies
