palacios
I bought my Z1 from www.6ave.com last Friday and today one of their reps called me up to offer me their current promotion on an extended warranty. He said that the warranty would cover my entire unit for 6 additional years after the Pioneer warranty expires. He said they'd even replace the screen if I got one dead pixel. He also said that the warranty does not require me to pay any deductibles and he even gave me the address of their repair contractor in my area. It sounded pretty impressive. Now for the price. He said that they usually charge $350 for it but they currently have it available for $250. In my opinion it sounds pretty fair. What do you guys think? I'm thinking pretty hard about it since I've already returned an N1 and an N2 because of defects. Would you buy it? I bought my Z1 from them for $1545 shipped so adding another $250 for 6 years of additional warranty still allows me to tell myself that I'm getting a great deal. BTW, they are a Pioneer authorized dealer so I know I got a deal for only $1545.
cntrylvr79
Based on my experiences with the avic series, I'd say if you can spare the dough, go for it. It breaks down to a little more than 20 a year.
palacios
It breaks down to a little more than 20 a year.
Actually it breaks down to $41 per year but still not that bad.

In other words I'm dumb.
