How Can I Downgrade to v2.006 from 2.008?

First post; a lot of really great info here! I apologize, but I have searched high and low for info on whether I can revert back to 2.006 from 2.008 on my AVIC-F700BT. 2.006 was rock-solid for the most part; I upgraded to 2.008 a few days ago, and my touch screen just flat out refuses to work most of the time. I've tried a reset, reset-eject, and calibration of the screen to no avail.

 

When the screen does work, if a press a "button" it either does not respond, lights up and then responds several seconds later, or gets stuck in a repeating fashion with no stopping...Is there any way to go back to 2.006? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance!
