thisguy210
Hey guys, I'm looking for some help here. I have an f900bt unit with hacked 3.02 firmware...Here is my issue: I plug in my 2nd gen 32gb ipod touch via the special ipod cable into the usb port. The ipod says accessory attached when I do this...I then go to the unit and it shows all my songs on there, the ipod wheel and I can scroll threw songs, however no sound plays at all?? I know it's wired correctly sound wise because I have perfect sound via the radio and sd when playing music....Before I upgraded to 3.02, I was having the same exact issues....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS IS FRUSTRATING! Thank you.
clash_n_cling
are you using just a regular usb cable? if that is the case you need to buy a rc adapter that will plug into ur head phone jack of the ipod. connect it to ur av1 out. also make sure that ur av1 out is set to ipod
thisguy210
I'm using this cable..its like the pioneer one, but off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-CD-iU230V-i ... d99f...let me know what you think..I'm not too great with this sort of stuff.

VBLUE42
When you go cheap on ebay this is often the result you get. Its a cheap ass Chinese knock off and probably not going to work. Buy the proper cable and it will probably work.
Zackb911
I have the proper cable and since the 3.02 update I get no sound with my F90 either.... It's not a cable problem for me.
thisguy210
exactly...the cable shouldnt be the issue...another problem with pioneer...what else is new!
dianebrat
exactly...the cable shouldnt be the issue...another problem with pioneer...what else is new! The cable is the issue when you use the WRONG one however..
thisguy210
clearly when another person using the proper cable with the same unit..haha thanks buddy
dianebrat
clearly when another person using the proper cable with the same unit..haha thanks buddy Are you this much of a twit in real life to people trying to help? We're saying the cable could be the issue in your case because you showed a low-cost ebay knockoff cable as the example of you using the "correct cable" and while it may or may not work right, it's not the Pioneer cable, so you can't refer to it as such, VBLUE was right on the money. You've never told us if your issue was fixed, since your other post is "I need an RCA harness" no matter what cable you used, without an RCA input the ipod/iphone will not work since it's not properly wired. There are simple steps that people installing units are expected to know how to do, and one of them is to read the installation sheet on proper hookup. The person that posted later saying "I have a cable that worked, then I did an upgrade, then it no longer worked" is not in the same boat.
