I have an issue with reading the Nav disks. Every time I put it in it gives me a read error. The disks are fine becasue they worked before with no issues. I can play cds and dvd with no problems, jsut when I inser any nav disk in it gives me an error. Before I could get it to work randomly by inseting it right when the car starts or leaving no disk in for a week and trying then, but now nothing works.

Any thoughts?

The map disks are backups yeah, and I would think its a bad burn as well, but they worked perfectly fine before, untill I accidently pressed the eject button, at which point each time I tried to put it in, it would say read error. The other dvd I had on hand was a dvd with divx movies on it, which worked with absolutely no issues.

I would understand if it didn't read dvds or other disks, but just the map disks? I'm very confused. I have made fresh copies with no luck, same deal.

The dual layers copied nav discs are fragile. Finger's prints or fine scratches can make them useless. I went through so many of them(I service and sell these units for a living). Go back to the oem disc and downgrade it if you want to avoid headaches. You can almost run over an oem disc with a tank and it would still work. Good luck. 8)

Interesting, just frustrating because they used to work fine, and if i didn't press the eject button by accident I would have been just fine lol. I made a new one to try out and its a no go. Perhaps I need to try a different dual layer disk
