soundsecurity
I am using a generic ipod cable with my avic-x710bt. The cable has 3 composite cables and a usb just like the ui230v. I saw in this forum that any cable of this sort should work. I plugged it into my iPhone and it played music through the av1 input. No video though. It did not charge. iPhone stated accessory not compatible. When I set the input up for ipod the avic stated problem with ipod connection. Is this cable not compatible or does it not work with an iPhone 3gs?

VBLUE42
You can help yourself by getting the proper cable. This has been gone over on here a million times. Cheap knock off cables from ebay or where ever you got it almost never fully work. Either get the Pioneer cable or the Apple Composite AV cable if you want to have full iPod support with the unit.
