F500BT + Streaming audio/radio via phone/iPod

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I completely replaced my factory stereo/radio with F500BT installed in-dash and F500BT doesn't have an integrated radio. Now I've started to miss listening to radio a bit.

I currently don't have a phone with radio possibilites. I was wondering, is it possible to stream radio from for example an iPhone via USB connected to the unit, so that I could hear the audio from my speakers just like I would be listening to mp3's via USB?

Or are there any other easy solutions to get radio back to my car without having to put my old stereo back?

Thanks in advance!

yeah i believe you can have the unit in IPOD source and have your iphone connected and playing.. then go to Pandora Radio or any internet radio streamer.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if it works just by having it connected in the unit's USB? Or do I need the Apple Composite AV Cable to connect it to the AV input to have the audio as well?

F500BT doesn't have the RCA inputs in it like the F700BT does. But the Apple Composite AV cable has the yellow audio connector, I wonder if I'd get the audio by connecting that to the F500BTs AV-input. Here's a pic of the Apple Composite AV cable:

Another option would be Pioneers own cable CD-IU200VM I guess. Picture below. The Apple composite cable is just a lot cheaper than the Pioneer one. Can anyone confirm if streaming radio from Internet radio via iPhone/iPod is possible with either one of these cables? So that I would hear the audio from the car speakers of course.
