mikzsan
I have an F500BT with the NDG500 amp, and I'm wondering is there any way that this unit would increase fuel consumption? I tried searching but couldn't find any results. Someone made a passing remark to me that had me curious. Regards Mike
dianebrat
In theory increased electrical load on an alternator will cause it take a few more hp from the engine, which theoretically could increase gasoline consumption, but no, the F500BT would not draw enough to do that, nor would most normal consumer amplifiers. There's a grain of reality in the science behind the statement, but it's so far away from being a reality that I certainly wouldn't pay it any attention.
