Headrest Monitor Display Issue

I realize I am brand new to this site, but up until now I have had a great experience with my z1. Here is the situation: I have a z1 with z2 firmware installed into a Ford F150. I just recently purchased a new set of headrest monitors and installed a switch between them and the remote turn on wire from the head unit so that they don't have to be on all the time. The video and audio is ran from the head unit to a y splitter for each to send the signal to both headrest monitors. The problem is that when I turn on the monitors I will only get video out of one of them, so I reset them by turning the switch off an on, and the other monitor will display the image, but still not both displaying it at the same time. I have exhausted the search function on this forum as well as others so I am looking to the experts out there to help me with this; I have been as thorough as I could, but will give any information needed to help me fix this.
