Problem with F700 won't write WINCEIMG

I got the black screen a few days ago randomly that a lot of people have been getting lately. I tried reinstalling the 3.0 update but ran into a problem getting into testmode. I can get to the "update CE" and "update SD format" steps and with the SD card in it starts reading. It gets to reading 100% and stops and doesn't start the writing process. I know the files on the SD card are good because I just reinstalled the 3.0 update on my fiance's F700 a few min ago to make sure the WINCEIMG files, testmode files and 3.0 update files are goo and it worked flawlessly (however, her unit didn't have the black screen problem to start with). Does anyone have any ideas what my problem might be and or how to go about fixing it? When i turn my truck on I don't even get the splash screen but the buttons glow for a bit and the fan runs and the screen works when I am going through the update WINCEIMG process.

 

I can't get to this screen (bottom part), stops at "reading image 100%".
