I bought the unit a month ago. did the bypass, and everything is fine. the thing is, i still have FW: 1.006000 or so.. and its slow and shit. all i want is to update it. but my SD reader is greyed out. as i said, everything works. but not this. The card is formatted Fat32 and it still wont work. cant even find music. USB works, DVD works, GPS EVERYTHING! But why not the SD? Is there another way to install the firmware? narcolept Posted July 17, 2010 Report Share Posted July 17, 2010 Try a different card before ruling out the card as the problem. If that doesn't work, there's not much you can do, unless you return it to pioneer.. Also, even if it was viewable in the normal operation of the OS, which I assume is what you're talking about, but couldn't tell, even with your extremely descriptive post, there's a process to update the SD card. If the SD card slot is for some reason truly bad, you're SOL on updating though. Please read and understand the threads related to updating, before you even consider doing so. Please. MK4NOR Posted July 17, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 17, 2010 it's a F900bt btw not that it really matters.. im fucked. tried 5x SD cards... both SD and SDHC. i have tried everything.. im just glad it works, even if its a hassle for small distance driving.. takes a loong time to boot and so on. dunno what to do though...
