503tim Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 We have an 07 Escalade that we just installed the AVIC Z120 in. Used the Metra piece and the Pac-SWI. All works fine except the PAC piece. I have no steering wheel controls and cannot get the unit to program to the correct version 2. I will go in to 3, 4 and 1 no problem. I have tried swapping power, grounds and talked to tech support multiple times. They don't seem to know what is going on. I also have swapped the unit for a fresh one with the same results......any help? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
hand-filer Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 Is the Pac-SWI plugged into the Pac OS-4 module? I had all kinds of operating/programing issues with mine. The solution was to hard wire the Pac-SWI into the vehicles wiring harness. No more trouble after that. That was on the advice of one of their Techs. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

vfjdesign Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 Not sure, as I did not install mine but my steering wheel controller is SWI-PS on 08 escalade, the "ps" may not make a difference and year should be same. mine works perfect with z110.
