Akilldema
I put one of these in my 00 Maxima SE equipped with Bose and it needs to be around 35 or 40 for normal listening volume. I bought the Bose harness for car and was told this is all I need, but I guess that's not the case. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
1loudls
did you use the RCA outputs from the avic? with cars that have a premium sound system, the factory amps are designed to be used with only 1 type of headunit (the factory one) which has very specific outputs to only that model, after aftermarkets have to be universal, but they cant be perfect for every single system. the most common issues are, the RCA outputs are sometimes too weak, and the amplified outputs are usually too strong, if you used the RCA's you could try the speaker wires instead but the opposite will happen, the system will be very loud with the volume barely turned up, and as long as your are careful with the volume controls you shouldn't have a problem (it will be much easier to blow the speakers like this however) you could also use a premium sound interface to cut down the level a little bit. Titanium3Series
when you install a head unit with the bose system you will not be able to hear it unless you purchase an interface converter. http://infiniteelectronix.com/piehrc-uniuniversalhrcboseinfinitypremiummachsystemstereoreplacementconverter.aspx[/url jus gave thisone as an example of the product you will need.
