NightCrawler
Hi everyone. I read the sticky on this bypass: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=25867 Thanks dbnichols and other contributors for the write up. I am sure it will work beautifully. I was hoping I could go one step further and set my avic unit video bypass up with an on/off switch so if I choose, I can just flip the switch and it goes right back to normal with the correct functions blocked. Do we have any electrical gurus that could advise on setting up a relay to ground and then a relay to the parking brake signal controlled by an on/off switch (or some other kind of switch) that would allow for both functions to work? TIA, NC
CamelTowing
Not sure its worth the effort to have a switch, but it you want to do it, you don't need a relay. Just go to Radio Shack or something and buy a cheapo toggle switch and run the parking brake wire to it
Jaz1068
Like the previous guy posted, a relay might be a little over kill compared to just running the switch by itself but..... 87-----GND 87a---N/C 85----GND 86---To one side of your switch, the other side of the switch to 12V 30----parking brake input to Unit Hope this helps Jaz
