pavouk Posted August 16, 2010 Report Share Posted August 16, 2010 I already installed my head unit (x920bt) in my 2010 Nissan Versa and tomorrow I'll be finishing my installation by replacing stock speakers and adding back-up camera. My question is that my car has two VSS wires one with two pulses and other with 8 pulses. Which one should I use for my VSS head unit connection? Also I think there might be better way how to connect backup signal other than run it all the way to the back tail lights. (not that I mind, I have to run camera wire anyway) but it is less hassle. Does anybody know where I can find this wire and what is its color? Are the color universal across manufacturers? Thank you for your answers... Quote Link to post Share on other sites
rgarjr Posted August 16, 2010 Report Share Posted August 16, 2010 The VSS wire will vary as many pulses depending how fast you're going, so there's no such thing of 2 or 8 pulse wires. If you don't want to run your reverser signal wire to the backup lamps, u need to search for the reverse switch and tap into that. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
