X710 navigation issues

I'm experiencing a couple issues with my x710 navigation.

 

I have a 60 mile commute to work on interstate highway. When leaving work, the route to my home continues to direct me to travel on the access roads that run parallel with the interstate highway until I'm out of the city. I checked nav settings to make sure no roads were restricted. I've also tried switching method settings (fast, easy, shortest) but there is no difference. Any idea why the nav doesn't route me onto the interstate?

 

My position arrow will also show I'm on the interstate even though I'm on the access road, or vice versa. It doesnt seem to recognize exiting or entering highway.

 

Any help would be mostly appreciated.
