xHELLHOUNDx
Love the forum. There is a lot of info on here that I found very useful while looking for answers for my question. Looked all over but couldn't find the info for my question. I hooked up my Z110BT last night and I had a bunch of extra wires coming from my axxess gmos-lan-05. They look like wires that should be hooked up to speakers but there were not any wires (that I could find) to hook them up to. There is also a solid blue wire that I can't figure out where it goes. The instructions that came with the axxess interface doesn't refer to a blue wire (the instructions are posted on their website). The unit turns on and everything seems to work (I did the bypass with the yellow mute wire and my OnStar still works?)balance, fade, navigation. I replaced a D3 that was stolen out of my ride. The sound quality of the Z110BT doesn't seem to sound as good as it did with the D3. Any info on that would be great as well.
xHELLHOUNDx
Anybody? Another question I have now after doing research on the different interfaces available, are there any differences between the Premium Bose system in the Denali compared to the Escalade? The reason I ask this is that over at www.PAC-AUDIO.com the interface that is compatible with the Premium Bose system for these two vehicles is the OS-3BOSE. I pulled up the instructions on how to install this paticular interface and on the second page it has the hook up instructions "(Denali Only) Note - Due to the design of this Premium Bose amplifier system, there is currently no way of fading from front to rear with an aftermarket radio". Then just under that it has "(Escalade Only)" with an extra step (step 5) that reads "This amplifier will allow the fader and balance to work correctly. You can also use the supplied brown connector, c4, for subwoofer control and center channel operation. These are low level mono inputs. We recommend using the center channel only if a 5.1 channel audio processor (or a dedicated center channel output) is present.". http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData/OS-3%20BOSE/1_Instructions/os-3bose_instructions_110106.pdf The interface that is currently installed in the Denali is the Axxess gmos-lan-05. With this interface I can use the fade option of the unit. ??? The interface that was installed with the D3 that was stolen from the vehicle didn't allow fade either. ??? I'm curious about this because the sound seemed so much better the way it was before. Any installers out there that know what these differences are, or have a preference between the two interfaces? VBLUE42
Questions regarding different types of Bose systems need to be addressed in other forums.
xHELLHOUNDx
Is there anybody on here that knows anything about this? Besides, whatever the guys name is, that posted above (that can't ever answer a question besides repeating "search the forums". Seems like a VEHICLE SPECIFIC WIRING question to me. I would appreciate responses that have to do with vehicle specific wiring. Thanks in advance.
