GEX-p5700 turner problems

I recently had an avic z1 installd with a pioneer GEX p5700 unit. The tv displays fine on the Z1 screen but i cant get the unit to output to the rear monitor. The DVD plays perfectly to the rear overhead unit but no tv signal. I have called Pioneer thinking it was just a matter of setting the right button... but no luck. Has anyone else experienced this problem and was able to fix it. IF so any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

The unit is connected with an ip-bus from the tv turner to the radio and rca cables from the radio to the over head unit.

Oh the overhead unit is a jensen 12 inch display
