Firmware update not working

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have a F920BT EUR version.

The problem is when i check the version it says 2.00000, while there is a firmware update 2.0030.

I format the SD card, add the folder (update) on the SD card...

then put it into my navi.. but it don't work.

It does nothing... even a soft reset does not start he update.

Anyone got a clue what's wrong?

  • 4 weeks later...

I am having the same issue with my unit. Showing ver. 2.0000

So according to pioneer it needs to be updated.

I place the firmware on the SD Card so the AVICZ110 is in the root of the card.

I than place it in the radio and the radio reboots right away but after acouple seconds turns on and nothing has been updated and the system info still shows the same ver.# as above.

Also I was reading on here that there was a v2.003 but Pioneers website does not have that firmware listed. Was there an issue with it and they went back to 2.002??

Thanks

Whit

If you have 2.0 on your 110 you now have a 120 so you need to be looking under the 120 for updates from now on. And did either of you follow my advice to check for updated firmware in the response from above?

I have a X920BT and I went into the Settings menu and selected the Service Information Screen.

It lists the Version: 02.0000 and my Device #.

If this is not the screen that I should be at where would I find this info?

Your unit is likely already up to date. Go to the version info screen and hold the tool icon at the top left of the screen.

How do I get to that screen... I said where I was getting the version info from. Aparently I am in the wrong place.

I just went thru the PDF for the manual and it was pointing me to where I was... and its not the same place you speak of.

Thanks

Chris
