VBLUE42
Below is a demo vid I made showing the DEQ-P8000 processor in action with the Z120BT. Over the last year or so people have asked weather this processor was compatible or how affective it was with the navi units. I can now say for sure it can be used and makes a big difference in the sound quality of the unit. Feel free to post questions and I may do another in depth video soon if requested. Chrisj
Thanks for the post VBLUE, although I'm more than a year late responding I have been wondering the same thing but I always thought it did not work. I have a Lincoln Navigator and it comes with a THX 5.1 system. Removing the factory amp going aftermarket will make my center channel obsolete or the aftermarket amp will blow it. Now I just have to find the DEQ-P8000 and the AXMP-8000 (I know eBay\Amazon). But what you said is true, there is a GREAT difference in sound that I miss, I came from a DEX-P1R (yeah took it back to 1998, I think today’s equivalent is the DEX-P99RS) which had all the features of the DEQ-P8000 built in and the sound was AMAZING. Question, did you also Auto EQ or change any other audio settings on the Z120?
VBLUE42
Pretty much Auto EQ only and cross over settings is all I had to do to get awesome sound stage and image. All with just two mids, two tweets, and one 12" JL woofer.
