Artist Not Found When Scrolling

Has anyone else run into the error message "Not Found" when trying to chose a letter under artists in the iPod interface. It will list the 123, but won't show me anything further. Albums and Songs list just fine.

i have experienced this problem continuously since updating ipod to iOS5... i was able to fix the first time it occured by restoring the ipod, however, after conducting a Wi-Fi sync of the iPod, the problem occured again.... any help would be appreicated.

I had a similar problem. For me, it had to do with the Artist/Sort Artist tag. If I remember correctly this was happening with A Perfect Circle. The artist tag was A Perfect Circle but the sort artist was Perfect Circle. When I would try to go to the artists listed under P, I would receive the "Not Found" message. I tried a number of things including restoring but nothing worked. Then I changed the artist and sort artist tag to A_Perfect Circle. It's now listed under A, but I no longer receive the "Not Found" message.
