Adam370Z
All, I screwed up and formatted the MBR from the blue screen in my US AVIC F900BT in response to the system startup in progress rebooting loop. I take it that this deletes the internal flash memory of this unit. Either way, the screen never stops being black, the button lights turn off shortly after power up. Can still access the blue screen menu, just don't know where to go after that. Is this a recoverable folly? Can the flash memory be put back together and restored via SD card. Any help is welcomed. Thanks for your contributions in advance. -Adam
Adam370Z
Alrighty, here's an update. I went to a car stereo shop. They're contacting Pioneer and getting the software. The guy at the shop said 15 euros (I have a US model, only living in Germany) and about an hour and it will be fixed. Better that than all the time I have already taken to screw it up. I'm going to take my own SD card and ask for the software he receives. So, if this happens again, I have a way to fix it. I'll try to put the software in this thread if I can get it. Hopefully, that will save time for others with the same issue. Thanks to all who have posted anything dealing with the reboot loops and formatting issues. I did get quite a bit of information on his site.
