cafagna
I drive a Jeep and finally got caught with my top down in a thunderstorm. I had no idea it was raining and I was inside a resteraunt. My AVIC D3 got soaked. I dried it out and all works fine except the touchpanel which now looks "wharped" and damaged. The touchpanel works sometimes and other times not at all or thinks I am touching it when I am not. I am not able to afford $200 plus dollars to have it repaired. Pioneer will not allow local shops to repair it even if it is not a warranty. They will not provide service manuals regarding their GPS. I did confirm with Pioneer that the replacement touch panel is part number CSX1114 whcih is about $50. Does anyone know if this is something that I can replace myself? I know there is a D1 post here asking a similar question. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
