fife1 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 Hi everyone, I’m new to AVIC 411 but not new to car audio and video installation and this one defies explanation. Bottom line up front: I get no sound from AM/FM and Sirius! I get perfect sound from iPod, DVD/ CD, SD, phone, even thru Bluetooth. The details: I installed an AVIC Z120 BT in a 2005 Chevy Avalanche. The Avy has On star and has Bose. This is the second aftermarket HU installation for this truck. I installed it using a Metra GMOS-04 and “yep†the blue wire w/ white stripe from the HU is connected to the blue wire w/ white stripe on the GMOS-04. The wire has voltage when the HU is on, even when the radio or Sirius is playing. I used a test light and I can tell because the AMP powering my rear subs is powered up. Help!
