G105ALY
Hi guys, This is my first post so please bear with me. I picked up a used F700BT from eBay for a good price and will be installing it in my 05 Porsche Boxster this weekend. I have no idea what firmware it is using at present but I guess I will work this out when it gets delivered. 1) So my first question, how do I ascertain what version of maps and FW is it using and how do I make sure it is uo-to-date with the Pioneer official release? 2) I want to be able to have full nav functionality whilst on the move. If I understand things right, I can do the hardware bypass (i.e. move the yellow mute wire to the different pin location, join this to the light green wire and earth / ground them?) and this will achieve this? I do not want to start messing with the software so i am hoping the two are not intrinsically linked? I look forward to your responses! Alex
ksquires1991
You have to mess with the software as well to have the bypass working...What I would you suggest you do is update it to the 3.0 firmware (can be found in another thread). Then use chrome's mod to have the bypass and some other neat features
