X930bt does not acquire satellites

Do you have one of the vehicles that has a metal film in the windshield? GPS can't see through them. Put the GPS puck outside the vehicle attached to a metal base (hood, roof, etc.), park with no roof or garage over you, and give the device maybe 10 minutes for the initialization to take. If it doesn't work then you have a bad GPS puck, bad wiring, or bad head unit.

my portable gps has no problem with my windshield

fine, then dont try his trouble shooting steps. good luck finding the problem if you wont rule out possible issues.

but in the end, you either have a bad antenna, a bad avic, or a bad antenna placement.

and no, there is nothing to activate for gps, you simply turn it on, and let it work.
