ctheodores
I have searched and havent come up with a way to reset the password on my d3. When I moved it from my 2002 passat to my 12 jetta it asks for my favorite pet. Not sure if it was the fav. pet of the guy I got it off ebay from but I no longer remember it. I can not get past this screen. Is there a way to reset the unit. The hard reset button on the front will not get rid of it
1loudls
the whole point of the password is to keep people from using the unit that do not know what the password is, no amount of resetting this will fix it. if a hard reset would get around the password, what would be the point of setting it in the first place either remember the password, or call and ask the guy who you brought it from. this is why passwords are stupid on radios, they in no way will keep you radio from getting stolen, but they will sure keep you from using it if you forget it! Nascar James
Send it in to Pioneer. I had a similar issue due to changing my battery. They will not send it back in your original box so hang on to that. I did not send any of the harness. They took about 2weeks and charged $70.
