BringItSon
could not find this information anywhere... Tried to call pioneer and their CS is absolutely terrible. I would like to know if Advanced App Mode uses the Phone/Device GPS system or the Avic's GPS system. I am curious if I buy and DL MotionX GPS on my Wifi Ipad, and hook it up to Avic Advance App Mode, will it work? Obviously WiFi Ipads do not have GPS, so only way it could possibly work is if it uses Avics GPS. I am getting my AVic installed soon and the location of the cable will be based upon this decision. Thanks ahead.
VBLUE42
It has been reported that it does work with the unit's GPS with an iPod Touch so it is assumed it will work the same way with an iPad.
BringItSon
that is a surprisingly a good news. I will have the guy install the wires to the glove compartment so i can fit my ipad. Thanks for the answer. Also, i will report back how it works on monday or tuesday.
BringItSon
Bit off topic, but another question. Would you say MotionX GPS is better than the stock GPS in terms of traffic calculation? Let's say for 2.5 hour drive during weekends and such. I know MotionX has "predictive" calculations, but how good is it? especially friday and sundays.
4U2NV
Just curious how that install went and how the app works. I've never used MotionX before but Waze has been pretty good to me for traffic and I know they just added Waze to the list of apps to use on Pioneer radio's.
onefast96svt
Motion X also has a lifetime one payment deal of $24 that you can buy to use as your main gps in your unit, so all touch screen operations work.
KawaKLX
Just curious how that install went and how the app works. I've never used MotionX before but Waze has been pretty good to me for traffic and I know they just added Waze to the list of apps to use on Pioneer radio's. I'm curious to know as well. I tried it using my old iPod 2g running IOS 4.2.1 and it didn't work. I didn't tether it to my phone either. My guess is, I might need to jailbreak it and have TV Out installed to make it work. Not positive though.
