I have an 04 F350 that I have installed an overhead DVD player that came out of an Expedition. It plays through the factory speakers using an FM modulator. I have to turn the radio on and tune it to 89.1 for it to work. If install the AVIC D1 will I be able to use the monitor on it to watch DVDs that are playing on the DVD player? Can I tune the AVIC to 89.1 and play video with the overhead unit and still hear sound from the speakers?
Thanks

You would have to switch the AVIC to A/V to watch the video ... in which case you'd need the audio to also come thru the A/V. But if you are currently usng an FM modulator, are there RCA wires from the DVD player going into the modulator? Why not just run those RCA wires direct to the D1? That makes more sense and is better audio quality anyhow. Get rid of the modulator all together...
