Is there an alternative to the AppRadio for viewing Netflix?

Recommended Posts

Im debating on wheather to get an AppRadio2 or not. I dont think I'll use the AppRadio as it should, and Im mainly after something that I can view netflix on... Is there any other units out there that I can attach my phone to via HDMI and watch Netflix? Or is the AppRadio the way to go?

Another reason Im wearya bout AppRadio is that I have to pair my Razr Maxx EVERYTIME I get in the car. That will quickly become a pain in the ass..

thanks guys

Any unit that supports video and the i5 will allow you to view any video app but will not allow you to control that app from the unit. In fact, the App Radio with the possibility of the future development of Mike's App Radio Extensions is the only solution to being able to control "unsupported" apps with the head unit and the i5. Other Pioneer units may be able to as well but we know the App Radio can once AppEx is able to be updated to support "unsupported" apps for the i5.

Also be aware that the issue you are having with your Razr may happen with any unit. Its likely the issue is with the phone and not the unit.
