CasuallyDressed
Hello! This is my first post after discovering this forum only a couple of days ago! Figured I'd introduce myself by first asking for a general opinion! I've just bought a new (old) car and figured I'd put in a decent system to integrate with my iPhone 5. I've only really got Halfords at my disposal as I live nowhere near a decent car audio specialist that will allow me a larger choice. I like to play with things before I buy them, so Halfords it is! I think I've narrowed it down to either the DA110 or X3500. I've listed the obvious pros and cons below but if I've missed something then please tell me before I put down ~£300 on something that might ultimately disappoint me: DA110 PROS: 7" screen £90 cheaper Cleaner interface DA110 CONS: No CD player (I can put a little portable one in the glove box and run it off the AUX though) No DAB X3500 PROS: DAB radio (extra £20 for aerial) CD player X3500 CONS: £90 more expensive Smaller 6.1" screen Interface seems very cluttered and busy Large physical buttons on the left side Annoyingly Halfords have only the DA110 on demo mode with a lightning cable poking out, while the X3500 is just kinda on display with no cables so can't have a proper play. They also sell the new X8600BT which I've asked them to price match Argos with so it's £520, and has a CD player and larger 7" screen but no DAB. One of the big points on that one is the upcoming Apple CarPlay update which I'll essentially be paying about £200 extra for. Thanks in advance for any help!
DP3343
The app radios are honestly some of pioneer's best. If you're not going to go for the new NEX line of radios, the app radios are the only other choice for me. I still have my appradio 2 in my other car and I love it. CasuallyDressed
Not readily available in the uk, also the radio tuner skips in 0.2 rather than 0.1 so I'd miss a lot of stations.
